Be careful of Eir. Their "unlimited" broadband isn't "unlimited" at all. It's capped at 1TB a month (sum of up/down).

Jaysus that's one huge estate. With all the building going on (if it all goes through), Donabate won't be the same.

Re: The Links/Insulation
Adding insulation internally (as in, to the plasterboard) would be a big job and would reduce the size of the rooms significantly. I know someone getting external insulation done atm (in town) and it looks great - a lot easier to do although I'm not sure how it would be finished on a semi-detatched ...

Re: Developer land grab in Somerton
The Somerton "land grab" is actually at the request of Somerton residents who agreed to withdraw planning objections to the development if the site access went via the Portrane Road, thereby closing the pedestrian access... I can't see how this contributed to closing the pedestrian access...

Re: Beaverstown Road - Proposed Development of 36 Houses
The original plans submitted were for this development to gain access to Beaverstown Road via Cois Inbhir. However, due to objections by several Cois Inbhir residents, the developer has now been requested to investigate the possibility of gaining access to Beaverstown Road by other means. While I w...

Re: Beaverstown Road - Proposed Development of 36 Houses
My big issue with a lot of the development being planned is that most of it is all the same. Small 3 bed semi's a few 4 beds and more apartments. We are out in the sticks and some of the houses / gardens should be bigger and the footpaths, roads should be wider and heck we should have cycle lanes. ...

Doesn't look like it's on the bend from that elevation but sure anywhere off that site isn't great. You'd be off your head that close to the train station.

Re: New tree's beaverstown road
Completely agree, when the old ones were cut down it looked like a tornado ripped up that road.
I don't have a green thumb, but after seeing the size of those pipes that are now under those trees, I hope they take over time / aren't blown over as easy as the old ones!

I've seen a few of these done in Donabate and wouldn't mind getting it done; anyone have it done and can recommend your builder/carpenter?
