Took a walk down to Lanestown Castle in Newbridge with the dog this evening. There wasn't much to see and it's in a pretty sorry state close up. I did a search online and found this site:

Looks like the site is owned by somebody local as they have a particular interest in the history of the peninsula.
It's interesting that he managed to get access to the castle and take photos. I'm not sure how this was done as I'm pretty sure it has been inaccessible for some considerable time. Interesting read nonetheless.
