To save some time for the virtuous eye-rollers who would otherwise certainly be doing important and worthwhile work elsewhere, can we just take it as read that the vast majority of the posts on this "community board for residents of Donabate and Portrane" are small, mostly "first-world" local issues, and not of global significance.

Well said! Some very 'superior' posts recently. Must be hard to be so perfect.

In fairness, there's a difference between discussing local topics of interest and whinging about being overcharged 60c when buying some pastries in SuperValu. In that instance a bit of a reality check is clearly necessary. :)

That post about 60c on pastries sounds nuts. Only problem is I was not able to find any posts referencing pastries. Can you post a link to the actual post on pastries you are referencing in your post?

You posted a link to a piece where one of the weaker guardian writers gives his opinion on something. Is this where you found your opinion and you are just showing us? If so, many thanks.

Oh sorry, the OP in the particular thread was whinging about having to use self-service checkouts (while, in fact, themselves virtue-signalling about the loss of minimum wage jobs). The piece about pastries was in the same thread, so I'm surprised you couldn't find it. ;)

Two posts in a row where you've been rabbiting on about posters whinging.

Just provide the link to the post about the pastries being overcharged by 60c.

There is a post about someone being overcharged by 12 euro on a full shop - no mention of pastries and a fair chunk of cash so this can't be it.

Since you still haven't linked to the famous 60c pastries post you made such big deal out of, so I'll go out on a limb here and suggest you invented it.
