Having Voted today - and there certainly a lot of candidates in the local election to play "eeny meeny miny mo" with - i am struck with the odd fact of ... why is the national school stilled used as the local voting center causing hundreds of kids to loose a day's education when we have a perfectly serviceable large community center. Any Idea's anyone?

Probably because it's free or close to it. If they had it anywhere else, it would have to be paid for.

It's a good point. FCC own the community centre as well I thought.

Anyway, all voting should be possible via the internet. You get a username, password and login and then boom vote casted. Rocket science.

Primary school kids would still have the same amount of days in school regardless. The department sets out the requirement for how many days they need to be in school so if they didn't take the day off voting, they'd get the day off at another stage for something else.
