If anyone is wondering who is on the list of 'Any Other Independents' which is one of the options on the poll I've tracked down the following names:

Justin Sinott. Paul Mulville. Joe Newman. Ian Croft. Anne Devitt. Joe O'Neill.

Of that lot, Anne Devitt is the best known She was formerly a Fine Gael councillor who resigned from Fine Gael while they were going through the process of dumping her out of the party after she was sharply criticised by the Mahon Tribunal because of her 'inappropriate' behaviour in the planning process.

Of the others, Sinott and Croft are both Santry based and their election literature has an inevitable Santry bias. However, the posts on Paul Mulville's Facebook page suggest that he's from the Donabate/Portrane area. Maybe somebody can confirm this?

I can't find any information on Newman or O'Neill.

What would be interesting is if people could provide some details of the candidates?

The ones I know I think are all working in the public sector or as a solicitor.
I'd love a broader range of professions in Irish politics.

Sounds like the usual representation. How come people who work in the tech sector rarely run even thou it is one of the biggest employers now?
