Not sure if UPC is in all estates (I know it's in the links). You can use the UPC website to check if their service is available, just go to buy a bundle and you will get to the option to check an address. I use magnet myself with fatpipe fibre.

I moved to UPC recently. The broadband is indeed only 30mb but that is plenty fast for most. Generally I'm happy with it although porting my number from Eircom was a PITA and took about ten days.

I would make one observation to anyone considering UPC and it's this: make sure that the coverage from their router is acceptable in your home. I was originally given a Cisco router and the signal was poor in any room away from the router. Some research showed that this was a common enough issue and was down to how the router worked and not a fault as such. I complained to UPC and told them I'd cancel the contract as the service was unusable. They replaced my router with one from a different manufacturer and the quality of the signal from it was way better.

Likewise a work colleague has experienced similar with one of those new Horizon boxes and he's trying to get it swapped because the signal deteriorates very quickly one you leave close proximity to the box.

Again, sign up and test it properly from the start and complain straight away if its not working properly, otherwise you're stuck with it for a year.....

Thanks for the response. I rang UPC and they said horizon is not on offer to me. I could get digital mad tv, plus 25mb wifi broadband and all local and national calls for €76 a month, with a connection fee of €90 (€45 for each piece of equipment). Is that what everyone else has been offered in Beverton? Or do you go with Sky Tv and get broadband from someone else seperately?

Apologies for dragging this up, but can someone please help!! I am beyond frustrated trying to arrange our tv and BB.

Can someone from a recent Beverton House purchase in the last year or so tell me what tv and bb providers/packages they were able to get??

I had eircom efibre and phone package booked but they said then we can't get it yet as some cabling still needs to be completed which could take months?? As in just a phone line in the end which the house is wired for and same response, so had to cancel sky as they won't do multi room without phone line so no use. Then upc said they only do basic tv there that's it!!

This all can't be correct can someone please shed any light???
