I've sent a mail to FCC each year for the last 4 years asking about its' progress. Each stage was getting held up in bureaucracy etc but it has been inching along slowly, very slowly.
Like you, I think it would be a brilliant asset and would make a much safer route out of the peninsula by bicycle.
I'll believe it when I see I though, I wouldn't be holding my breath.
