lost dog?

Has anybody lost a black, I think Labrador, near turvey woods?
When I was shooting pictures at the bird sanctuary behind the turvey golf course, a black dog, quite big, creeped up on me scaring me to death. The dog was afraid too as it looked, but ran off through the water in direction of lusk / skerries.
