Tidy Town

Took a walk through the village this evening.

Looked like I'd missed a riot or a food fight, with all the litter and food waste everywhere.

Anyone know of our Tidy Town reps?

If I had the proper equipment, I could do something about it.

My pet hate, litter when bins are less than 10 steps away

Not sure who the rep is, but someone was out this morning cleaning up the rubbish.

Its disgusting to be honest, the peninsula in general is filthy. Its the kids, they need educating.

Like a little picker.
To reach into bushes and brambles and other out of reach areas.

What we see in the village cannot wholly be blamed on kids.
You cannot blame the kids for beer bottles and glasses left by the taxi office or in the cemetery, food packaging from Romayo's, Donabate Chinese, Chungs or Scrum Diddley's.
The latter I have seen someone out collecting rubbish in the summer months, around the village green.
That does not mean others have not.
But yes;

Sorry jayflame i suppose what im saying is people younger then me. Anyway bottom line is if the 950 people or so that have read this post/tread as of the 27/01/2017
Could pick up just one item of litter instead of walking past it, it would go a long way in helping to keep the area tidy. Come on folks lets do this for all of us, dont leave it to a handful of us have pride. I grew up in a place that had no pride it was filthy and it had such an impact on the people living there, we are luckier than most we live on a beautiful peninsula.
