Oh I'd have to disagree a bit there!
We went to the Newbridge House one last year - the set up wasn't great at all. Then we were left sitting in what could only be described as a 'Cloakroom' for 45 mins with about 60 other people, loads of screaming children and no christmas music or anything to keep them entertained while waiting to see the big man.
Although I must say the Santa himself was very good - especially when the little lad asked him for scooby doo and he broke out into the theme tune and did an impression - a very jolly Santa indeed.

I keep seeing advertisements for one in Ardgillian Castle in Skerries - anybody checked this one out?

That doesn't sound good. Admittedly, we're past that stage so haven't been there for a few years.

We did this last year and I realise its not local - it took about an hours drive each way.
But it was excellent and you book a time slot and the whole experience takes about an hour and a half.

The kids faces when Santa came down the chimney was priceless !!
