Just wondering if anyone has recently got either a new hall door or porch door in The Links. We are debating whether to go for a new hall door or the porch and would be grateful for any input as regards which and recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks Quello Seria for your input.

Definitely get the porch door. It's an extra layer of insulation.
A friend of mine in the Links got a good new front door on a few years back and the hall still felt cold for him.
Then he got a new porch door on and it made a huge difference. Especially in the winter with the cold winds hitting the front of his house.

B&Q Liffey Valley have suitable double glazed pvc doors at a reasonable price. Insulated reinforced concrete plinth with damp proof barrier is all you need. Just find yourself a local tradesman such as a carpenter and your sorted. The doors are of good quality and ideal for such a job.
Had a new porch built for our house in Somerton, there are a few houses here with porches so just walked around the estate & asked a couple of them that we liked for their recommendations, got a local Carpenter/Builder to source it & install, very happy with quality of work, has made a big difference heatwise to our hallway
