Is this a permanent fixture then? Has there been any response to the request to remove the fence?
I was there yesterday and it ruins the walk, it’s like a dark corridor now.
Apart from the magical moments young kids have being able to see the animals up close.

Very very disappointed..
I would suggest boycotting the animal farm until the fence is removed.

Newbridge park using the "Don't feed the animal's " card to justify that cane fence is pure rubbish. If they put up an inner fence 2 metres back from the original fence with just one strand of electric fence it would have the same effect as that stupid cane fence. A lot cheaper too. That cane fence costs a fortune. Animals can still be fed by simply throwing food over the fence anyway. So the cane fence doesn't solve the problem at all. But of course we all know the real reason for the fence though!!

Walking the dog today, as I came to the farm area I saw that the fence was gone. I thought YAY they've come to their sences and taken it down, but then I saw it being put up again but lower !!!!. Now it's approx four feet high, so anyone 4feet 6'' or so can see the animals, but children, wheelchair users and anyone else vertically challenged can't. How on earth can anyone justify that and the presumably public money being spent on it?. It defies logic and reason. With local elections coming up, candidates must be pressed on this.

Saw the reduced fence this evening.. I actually think this is Newbridge House ‘compromising’ following the petition and general outrage. It’s not too bad. Certainly better than before.
