following the soon to be started new hospital building in Portrane, and Aldi at Turvey, a new planning sign now up at entrance to Somerton for development of 44 detached and semi detached houses in the field between sports centre/secondary school/somerton. am sure it was put fwd a few years ago, at the end of Tiger 1 but pulled, but its back again, seem to recall it was the same number and types of houses.

jaysus, we'll need a bypass soon to get around the village.

Yes Pat,

It's nice to see the confidence in the market with all the potential development out here in Donabate/Portrane just sad to see that people (planners included) does not understand the principles around these applications.

"The infrastructure need to be in place before we go and build these things". It's almost as if the Celtic Tiger mentality of build it now and make it work later is still there, and later almost surely never comes!!

Look at the potential mess with the building of the new National forensic mental health hospital at Portrane, Trafic lights by the station - Approved, Trucks through the village 12 movements per hour, pass schools, homes and businesses - Approved, Children at the GAA grounds sharing access routes with construction vehicles - Approved!!

We still sit with a inappropriate route from the M1 to Portrane. I see your man have fixed up the wall at the bad bend next to the farmhouse by the Tesco warehouse, wonder how long is it going to last? A week maybe?
