Great though it is, I was wondering what ideas are out there on how we could make the area better.

Move it down the coast a bit and call it Donahide? Malabate maybe?

Ha. Well I suppose that's why we want a walkway!

I think we have it pretty good here. A better choice of restaurants or a wine bar would be great. However, we probably don't have the population to sustain it.

Better facilities for teenagers is also required. A public all weather pitch is badly needed as I'm sure they'll be banned from the school one if it ever gets resurfaced.

Ken.

It's a shame that eyesore of a plot of land where the Educate Together school used to be couldn't be used for this, even if it was just tarmac and fenced off for football or whatever.

I agree, I would of thought that a small pitch incorporated into a small skate park or something with a small shop there would do quite well due to the location right beside the school and the existing astro. Just a thought though.

We walked up by the old educate together school and thought that it could be turned into tennis courts!! Would require little maintenance.

That site is earmarked for a library which we probably won't be seeing for a long time.

I thought the latest was that it was going into the Community Centre?
I think you would be hard pushed to find many better places. Room for improvement of course but on the whole it has many great pluses.

I think tennis courts would be great. A friend of mine lives in a housing estate in Galway and the developer added in a couple of tennis courts. Basic enough but they sort of look after themselves I think.

It is probably time now for there to be just one forum. That would make it easier to get information about the place.

Find one with nicer colours and I'd be happy to switch it over / install it and each person can choose their own colours / how it appears for them.

As for moving over other characters, feel free to drive them over!
