just seen a notice in Supervalue no alcohol served on Sunday or Monday due to failing a Garda test. Apparently the Garda sent some under aged people in to the shop and they were served no questions asked. Hope they don't lose their licence or we will all be stumped.

It must be a nightmare managing a shop with a large number of staff. All you need is one slip up at the wrong time and you're in trouble.

However, I believe the Guards are right to do this. It keeps shops on their toes.

The vino in Lidl is pretty good as well. It's improved significantly over the last year.
Regards,

Ken.

Very quiet in there tonight. It's amazing what drink - or lack of - can do for business.

In fairness, I've spotted them selling drink to under 20s many times without checking ID. Especially the younger staff.
