I've been aware of bad comments about the dentist behind Supervalu since I moved to Donabate a number of years ago. Very expensive, doing unnecessary work etc. But then I hear that it has improved greatly over the last year or so with someone new coming in?
I need some work doing soon (ouch) and local would be best. So has anyone any comments?

I know its not local but Balbriggan Dental is excellent plus they are open on Saturday with a walk-in emergency clinic everyday. My daughter got her braces there and it was the most reasonable of all the places I priced.

Can't comment on local place as the negative comments I've been hearing for years put me off.

We use the one behind Supervalu - Amy is the dentist's name.
I think she's great. Calm and kind with the kids.
We had to get gum-shield done and asked that it be made in purple (PHC) when it came it was claret/wine colour and DD was obviously disappointed. She immediately ordered it from other company for no charge. My kids have been there and some had work and other none.
They seem to be close to other dentists price-wise and the convenience of location is great.

That's good to hear, thanks a lot Sydney. Not having to travel is a big thing.

When the recession hit, we made a commitment to buy local. We tried the dentist behind Supervalu. The whole experience was pleasant and the prices were on par with the practice we looked into in Swords .

I also use the dentist behind Supervalu and can't fault Amy.

I think dentists in general have had to review pricing over the last few years.
