I'm looking to buy some treated timber and wondered if anyone could give a solid recommendation? I've bought timber in various places over the years and recently, with mixed results - wet, warped, knotty, mouldy rubbish in some cases. I don't want want to run anybody down, so can you just recommend someone who gives a damn about their reputation and providing decent quality timber? Not interested in paying Woodies or B&Q prices.
Cheers

I used Brooks for supplies a few years back. Then I found https://www.jbrownebuildersproviders.com/ based in Lusk. Not only were they cheaper, but also much more reasonable for delivery. Worth a try if you're not aware of them.
Regards,

Ken.

Hi,
I agree with Ken. Have had many deliveries from Brownes, usually with no charge as large quantities. They're a little old school but 100% reliable imo and very easy to deal with.
I would advise calling to their yard in rush to inspect and select . Its often difficult to get good timber lately.
Hope you find what you're looking for

Thanks a lot Blend. Old school sounds good to me. I'll drop out.
