Can anyone recommend a good broadband internet service provider for Donabate/Beverton?
All help appreciated

I've been looking at houses in Donabate, right in the village centre. Appears that 24Mbps (or slower) is the only option there (bonkers.ie, and looking separately at Virgin, Sky, Vodafone, Eir).

Could that be true? Hear of any plans to significantly upgrade broadband speeds?

Beyond pissed off with the crap internet in Donabate. SIRO offer 1gb/s. They basically run the internet through the ESB cables.

The speed is a gigabyte. So seriously quick. The only problem with that is its bloody expensive. 100 per month. I would propose that Donabate get together and get onto Siro and get them to set Donabate up.

Imagine a world where you don't have to deal with Eir, Sky, Virgin & even Imagine. You can get IPTV through your internet as well.

Seriously if anyone is interested please just reply to this message. I am still on a 2meg line for Gods sake!

2mbit line? Wow that's slow, we hoping to move to Donabate soon, near village, not sure what our service is like! ;)

Where in Donabate are you only getting 2mb?

100mb Vodafone in beaverstown orchard/Eden Grove.
Good stable connection, never went down.
Previous same line with Sky no issues either.
I’d imagine it’s the same exchange for the village.

Virgin media also available in the estate

The area I'm considering can apparently get 100Mbps not 24 as previously reported, so I can live with 100...but right SIRO would be nice!

I pay for 100mbps, but rarely get it. Anything between 30 & 70mbps normally. Done on Ookla.
Currently on Eir service.
