Hi ladies.
Just wondering if there is a breastfeeding friendly GP in donabate or surrounding areas? My GP is a bit old school in this regard and some positive support would be welcomed.
Thanks in advance

What a shame that ANY GP would discourage you from breastfeeding your baby. I was under the impression that the NHS and Irish health service really encourage it!
If they are old school then I would complain

Hello, in the past I have found the nurses in the HSE clinic to be very supportive and there is a weekly group there where you can meet other Mums and babies are weighed etc. Also Dr. Avril or any of the GPs in the village are a good support. Finally there is a motherlink / ciudiu group in Donabate that meets during term time. Hope that helps!

I'm kind of curious as to what supportive (or unsupportive) means in this case.
Has there been a problem with feeding in the waiting area?
