Just a little surprised nobody has posted on this. Does anyone know specifically why so many trees where removed on both sides of the railway line just south of the station? The embankment has been left absolutely bare.

Also - and I'm no expert on this - but what we have left is two high mounds of earth which would make me worried about the potential for landslip whenever we have the next heavy rainfall?

Yeah seen it the other day had to double take just didn't look like donabate but i get why they have done it (safety), i think in general the deforestation of the peninsula is a thing to be worried about, one tree at a time slowly slowly we're losing what makes this place so special, gut wrenching to see the peninsula as we know it disappear.

Around 4am Thursday morning the noise from that maintenance work at the railway station was very loud, and I'm along the New Road.

It must have terrible for those nearer the station, any one else hear it ?
