Not sure whether this really is news as such but it's in the Indo.

not sure about the 10 sec bit reference unless we've got a new Bullet train operating these days. spices the story up a bit I imagine. IR put on an extra Dart or two but no extra mainline trains for Bray ting.
still not great to see though.

Kids today are stupid.
Last night, more wooden fencing slats were kicked out on the northbound platform.
Do they not realise, if they continue to vandalize it, it will be replaced with a metal one like the entrance

Take a photo of them and put up on social media.
I spotted an unpainted one snapped in half this morning and a few missing while waiting on the platform this morning. There was also a couple of security guards when I got off the train yesterday at around 7pm, first time I've ever seen any. I though it might be down to more passengers passing through the station with the hot weather but it looks like it might have been for the vandals damaging the fencing.jayflame wrote:Kids today are stupid.

Seeing how Irish Rail captured some CCTV footage recently and that there has been an increase in youths hanging around the station, I was not surprised to see security there last night.
We must have been on the same train.
I could hear the youths jeering security from the bridge where they had plenty of time to run from.
It amused me as they appeared to be showing off in front of the girls with them.
The sad thing is that these youths may not be from Donabate or Portrane, resulting in locals getting the bad rap

We have had an influx of scum all summer but particularly on Saturdays. Gangs of young people doing whatever they want through the village and at the train station. Not from donabate.
What's being done about it? Not a thing.
