Positives to Troika involvement in our affairs?

Good spot there digger, not before time that the cartel which calls itself the "medical profession" was tackled head on. But two reasons why that might not happen.

Firstly our health minister is hardly going to rock the boat which has many of his medical ilk in it.

Secondly, nobody wants to interfere with the viability of our pharmaceutical industry. I don't have the link to hand, but there was a lot of whining on the RTE radio 1 today when there was a discussion about drugs coming off patent and how this would allow generic copies and drive costs down to the detriment of pharmaceutical industry. It's very hypocritical that on one hand,the government has to be seen to be driving costs down, and on the other, expresses concern that end of patent will hit the men in the pockets of their white lab coats.

The IMF are free market capitalism. In Ireland you have vested interest capitalism.
