Anyone got a good recommendation for campsite type holiday for family with two young lads. Like the Eurocamp style, playing Football, usual stuff etc.

Eurocamp at Lake Garda, Italy. Camping del Garda. Very close to Garda Land which is only 15 euros in the evening and is better than Disney Paris for rides.

Consider flying into Munich and hiring a car. Only 4 hours drive and much cheaper to fly into mid-summer.

Otherwise Milan Bergamo or Verona which is closest but expensive mid summer.

I'd recommend camp bella italia right on lake garda. Loads of activities incl kayaking, archery, football etc. Other watersports can be arranged on site or at lake but you pay for them. Can also hire motorboats. In Peschiera which is a lovely spot anyway. Can book directly or through agency sites like luxcamp. We flew to Bergamo with Ryanair which is prob an hour away. Gardaland also a must and can drive around lake in a day stopping off to take cablecar to Montebaldo. Also super traffic free cycle route from Peschiera to Mantua c40k. Can recommend bike hire if looking to go there.

Hi just something to consider for camping hols....which are great by way !!!...is how hot it's going to be, and how your kids deal with the heat I've heard it can be extremely hot in central Italy, whereas north of France is warm but not scorching usually. Also ferry means you just chuck everything in car. Also booking through yelloh which is other camp company much cheaper exact same sites, same mobiles etc. For Irish camping hidden valley in Wicklow great for kids activities ,

We aslo used Yelloh! Village campsite for our holiday last year. They are mainly in France and are considered one of the best campsites for families. We went to Le Serignan Plage in Sep and it was lovely, plenty of playgrounds and activities for kids :)

We have gone camping in France a few times - we stayed in Brittany as kids were young enough and we didn't fancy a 6 hour drive south. We have stayed in Yelloh Villages a few times and they are fantastic - only problem is the weather it can be hit and miss and on average we had 4 days rain per 14 days and it can be miserable in a mobile home when its raining - you can drive and explore which is great as well - but just a caution if your a sun worshiper !!

Garda Land? I wouldn't fancy Templemore for my holidays.
