Hi,

There was a red kayak taken yesterday from the end of the Kilcrea Road at the Malahide Estuary. It belongs to the Swords / Malahide Canoe Club (who rely purely on donations). The kayak got loose in a recent storm and they had been looking for it.

It was there until yesterday morning but when they came to collect it yesterday afternoon it had been taken.

If anyone sees it, please let me know.

Thanks!
Ciarán

Hi Ciaran,

I know who decided to give it a home. He is abroad at the moment, but he will return it to the same place this Saturday morning.

That's amazing! I realised after posting that I wrote this in more of an accusatory way than I perhaps should have. If the person feels comfortable, feel free to drop me a DM and we can organise to directly return it instead. I imagine they thought it was abandoned which is completely understandable.

Thanks a million either way, I'll keep an eye out and let the club know to get it.

I will pass on your message, he definitely doesn't feel accused. He just gave it a home rather than leave it there.

This is a wonderful outcome. The folks in the club will be delighted. Thanks a million and Happy Christmas! 🎄
