With a history extending back nearly 3,000 years, the Millmount Museum centre
is the oldest surviving centre of settlement in Drogheda.
The Normans built a fort here and it was from this point that Cromwell
directed his forces to slaughter 2,500 of the citizens of Drogheda.
It also suffered much damage during the Irish Civil war in 1922.
It houses many artefacts of national and international interest
There is much more.
Not to be missed.
