Any decent mechanic should be able to sort that. It's either a wiring problem as you say or the lock itself has failed. I'd recommend Matt Halpin on Beaverstown Road, but here are other good mechanics on the peninsula.

It will be interesting to see what it becomes. Aldi or Lidl aren't known for investing in areas with growth potential. They like to locate in highly populated urban areas with easy access and parking. Somewhere along the R132 that would also service Lusk and Rush would make more sense.

There are plans to realign that bend which involves a CPO of part of the adjacent field. There were plans published a few months back. Not sure of the timing.
