Still suspended from what I can see on their website. Hopefully it will come back shortly now that there is talk of return to the office.

Re: Local Auto electrician needed.
I see there is a place in Rush.
East coast auto and electrics
Address: Rush, Co. Dublin
Phone: 087 259 4482
I'm no experience of them but might be worth a call.

Re: Local Auto electrician needed.
Any decent mechanic should be able to sort that. It's either a wiring problem as you say or the lock itself has failed. I'd recommend Matt Halpin on Beaverstown Road, but here are other good mechanics on the peninsula.

Interesting one. Can't say I've ever heard of it. Just had a quick look at Peadar Bates's book and it doesn't seem to be mentioned either.
I'd guess it's a house as it's not a townland I'd be familiar with. Have you tried the census site as that may give you an indication of the street or area?

Hey, I’m considering buying in Beresford - To save me reading through a truckload of posts (30 pages!) can someone assist with a few queries? - what’s the build quality like? - sound proofing between semi d? - % allocated social? - plan to occupy, but should things change, what do they rent for? - ...

Don't get me started on social distancing on footpaths. There are those too busy chatting who steadfastly refuse to get into single file when passing making any social distancing impossible. These are mostly adults that should know better. Then there's the motorists who insist on skimming past a ped...

Is there anymore development on what’s going to be ‘daybreak’ at the bridge? Planning app there for ages, anyone know what it’s going to be? Or when it’s going to start? The planning application on the window relates to an application for retention permission for the telephone mast on the roof. I w...

Re: Dogs on the beech
Dogs should be on a lead at all times when in public places. Additionally, restricted breeds should be muzzled. So yes, dogs on the beach should be on lead at all times. Having said that, I don't have an issue with people having dogs off lead that are well trained and have good recall. However, many...

Re: Internet / Broadband
Eir's customer service is supposedly improving. Having said that, I've very rarely had to contact them regarding broadband. Mobiles and home phone are a different story. Eir did provide the router free of charge when I got my original broadband installation. I know Sky have their own routers, but no...

Haven't got the first bill yet, but it's about €25 per month more for the gigabit. You don't get a new router which surprised me. I still have the F2000 which is about 6 years old at this stage. I was going to upgrade the router but did a bit of research and decided to go with below from TP-Link. It...

Re: Retail units at station- back again
It will be interesting to see what it becomes. Aldi or Lidl aren't known for investing in areas with growth potential. They like to locate in highly populated urban areas with easy access and parking. Somewhere along the R132 that would also service Lusk and Rush would make more sense.

Re: Beaverstown Road development
Adrian Henchy has put a partial explanation here that makes some sense.
However, he doesn't address the fence separating the Beaverstown path from entering the lands where the windmill is.

Re: Beaverstown Road development
I just sent a mail to Adrian Henchy to see if he knows what's going on. I wonder if that land changed hands recently and is it the new owner that's making the changes? I don't understand the lane down to the estuary either. That's essentially Beaverstown Road and don't understand why a permanent loo...

I had a previous post regarding this here. http://www.donabateportrane.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3716 I walked up to the windmill from Beaverstown Road about a month ago. I noticed that they have erected a new fence along the walkway from Beaverstown closing off the fields. What surprised th...

Re: Blue/Green Stains in Sink & Shower from Water
Hi, Can't say I've had a similar issue, but for me, this would point to the water softener. As a fish keeper living in Donabate, I can assure you that we don't have a low pH. It's usually around 7.5 which is slightly alkaline. If your water softener supplier told you that a low pH is alkaline then t...

Rahillion Walkway
Does anyone know what the plans are for the Rahillion walkway? The walkway from the Rahillion estate up to the windmill has a new path and looks great. However, the same can't be said for the Beaverstown Road side. The stone pathway put in a year or so ago has all but disappeared under mud and is pr...

There are plans to realign that bend which involves a CPO of part of the adjacent field. There were plans published a few months back. Not sure of the timing.

It is a pity that it's been let go to ruin over the years. I wonder if there are any plans to do something with it as part of the NFMHS site?
