If anyone is interested there is a local Facebook page created by Donabate Village to help out any elderly/self isolating people.

Re: Travellers mess
They were in Donabate for two nights I think but the mess they made up in the allotments was shocking. I was up there yesterday couldn't believe what they left. I would say that people would get together and tidy it but without being rude or describing too much you'd be handling stuff that you would...

Re: Regret Buying Home in DONABATE?
Best of.luck to you and to all the people recently moved/moving to Donabate. I absolutely agree with you on many points but especially with the point about people caring about where they live. We are very lucky to have so many passionate and vocal people who really care about Donabate. Just look at ...

Re: Regret Buying Home in DONABATE?
Before buying, I was looking at much smaller units in Beaumont or Clongriffin. I absolutely stand by my decision to buy in Donabate. Completely agree with this-we were looking at a house in kildare at the time we bought here. 2/3 the size and would have had a good 20 min drive to s train station. Sa...

Re: Regret Buying Home in DONABATE?
Been here 15 years and I've never been so glad to get the likes of Beresford and Rahillion in our community. Sure our local politicians have dumped us in it and we've had to put up with an almighty load of crap but already these estates have melted right in to the community. Everywhere in Dublin is ...

Caught the second one a couple of times - got a seat no problem. As someone else said wish there was an earlier one around 645 or so. Very comfortable though.

Hi, I remember seeing Fingal Beekeeping Association down in the Turvey Allotments. They have a Facebook page as far as I know. Think anyone would be delighted to trade for some local honey! Best of luck.

Re: What does Donabate / Portrane need?
I’m another one who has given up on the train. I now have to drive in to the city centre. All the posts here are correct and I agree with you but if the last two posters ever run for election I’d vote for you. In the meantime I will be quoting these on my doorstep. It would completely make sense to ...
Re: Elections
I’d say Bob Dowling and Corina Roche are looking like the two who will stand up and be counted. I’ve raised it with the others and got the usual but we’ve a housing crisis. That’s fair enough but doesn’t mean you can chuck thousands of houses into a village without proper infrastructure. Ive also as...

We were there over the Easter weekend and they had a really crap "special" menu which was at the extremely boring end of ordinary carvery fare (burger and chips, chicken curry, sea bass etc.). Service was appalling (we had a reservation for a table in the bar which they seemingly lost and...

Joe Brady the window cleaner also fixes roofs. He fixed flashing on ours. He’s a really good guy if it’s beyond him he’ll give you the number of another roofing specialist. His number is on the Donabate Village fb morning age if you don’t have it.
Re: Elections
At this stage I’m leaning towards Bob Dowling(I am not normally an FG voter). If the community wants anything to be done looks like he’d be the main route to the government and get that Tilsbury monstrosity stopped. Might give Mulville 2nd but that’s it.

Have a feeling the local elections are going to get dirty. Donabate is a great place to live, we’ve been here 15 years and love it. Glad to see people standing up for our lovely village finally.. It does need new people and all the things that go with it but let’s face it the community here is not s...

Tom01 fair play - that’s what I love about Donabate! We’ve the best community spirit here can’t put a price on that. As for laminating key cards wish I had thought of that!!!
