Re: Lost satellite dog collar

I hope you find it. I'm sure it's an expensive piece of kit.

Do you have a photo of what it looks like? Someone may have found it and not have a clue what it is.

Am I missing something here? Why can't you find it using GPS?

Re: Its gone

You're being generous with 5 years. I'd say at least twice that. It was created when the services were being put in for the house it's outside. That house is there at least 10 years at this stage.

I presume there was some sort of ceremony?

We have received a number of reports about his post. It's a delicate matter, but nonetheless having an impact on the peninsula. Please keep it factual and relevant to the area. Please refrain from wide sweeping remarks about the Travelling community.

Re: Fingal Express

They just updated their Twitter feed. They are looking to bring back the service in the "coming weeks".

Given offices are still essentially closed, it will be interesting to see what the demand is. I guess that's what they're trying to figure out.

Nobody was arguing that the behaviour was acceptable. What was being called out was wide sweeping remarks suggesting that this behaviour is representative of all Travellers.

Appears to have sold over the last few months, but nobody is aware of what the plans are for it. A previous planning application to convert it to apartments was rejected by Fingal.

Re: Commuter time table changes

I wouldn't be too sure about any major changes during August. There's still no word of when offices will start returning and if they do, it will be on a limited basis for some time.

The Fingal Express still hasn't started back and no word either.

Re: Face mask

I can't see business insisting that people wear masks until the government make it compulsory. It's hard enough doing business in the current climate without having to deal with idiots looking for an argument. Believe me, I've seen plenty of them arguing with staff over the last few months. People t...

Re: Face mask

I agree on the personal responsibility and that we should wear masks indoors without being told. However, why single out one business? I'm not aware of any shop that has insisted that customers wear masks. If it's not government mandated, I'm not sure where a business would stand legally with such a...

That's it. It would have been rejected on technicalities. This is the normal course of events for planning. These issues will be addressed and it will be developed eventually.

I don't need it at the moment, but likely will over the next few weeks. I presume they have also paused annual tickets for those of us that purchased them.

Fingal Express

Does anyone know if the Fingal Express bus service recommenced yet? Their Twitter feed and website are vague saying that it was discontinued around Patrick's day and was due to return on March 30th. I presume it didn't return then given what developed.

AFIK, Eir, Sky and Vodafone is the same network, just different providers. Eir offer two connection types - DSL and fibre to the house. Fibre to the house is only available in limited areas. Not sure if it's in areas of Donabate yet. Virgin have their own network that is only fire to the house. It's...

Can't say I've noticed a problem with Eir Broadband. Tried a few times today on Speedtest.net and getting a solid 59Mbs download and 19Mbs upload.

Granite Rock - Free

Hi, Thought I'd see if anyone local is interested before advertising more widely. We've a significant amount of granite rock in our garden that's free if anyone wants to take it. It would take a van/truck and a couple of people to load up. I'm in the process of dismantling a pond (pictured) for a ne...

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a local landscape gardener? I see a few recommendations on the site, but they're a few years old at this stage.
