Re: Lack of mask wearing starting to creep in

Agree - will never shop there again.
If staff are not wearing masks then the minimum expectation is that a screen would be installed.
No hand sanitiser there either.
Not good enough.
Especially considering they’re serving food.

Re: Donabate Portrane Community & Leisure Centre

A well run and well maintained community centre. Plenty of events organised and run in sports hall, studios and meeting rooms. There’s an information stand at reception with details of the current classes etc. Most children’s sports clubs finish their season for the summer months but often have a su...

Re: Eir TV and broadband

If you ever expect to need a customer service call answered don’t go with eir. Absolute nightmare with moving away from them. Average wait time is 25 minutes. Longest I experienced was 90 minutes. Cheaper for a reason. Awful !

Re: Looking to rent house for 3 months

Apologies Pat.

I responded same day as your message, but see now that it didn’t go through.
Thanks for passing on the details. I followed up, and minimum 1 year rent.
But thankfully we are all sorted with a place in Swords.

Looking to rent house for 3 months

Hi there,

Our house is due to have Pyrite remediation works started on 22nd October.

We’re looking for a house to rent for the 12 week remediation period in Donabate or Portrane. Preferably 3/4 bed, unfurnished - but will consider all available.
Thanks

Re: Early morning gym classes

The 9.30am classes were disrupted a bit this summer because summer camps were booked in the studio upstairs.
No problem with the 6.30am classes.
Thoroughly recommend an early morning spin class.

No problem. I’d recommend taking a look at the Facebook page for updates on all the great things the students are involved in. The future is bright.

Re: School league table

I have no hesitation in recommending the school. There are so many important aspects to secondary school that league tables will never measure. Our eldest is in second year, and she has had many opportunities to shine. She is flourishing. Our middle daughter starts next year. Our children’s hearts a...

Re: Developer land grab in Somerton

The Supporting Proper Development in Donabate group was clearly badly needed before now. Good to see that it has local support. Plenty of opportunity for objections to these plans at the end of 2015, and again into 2016. A handful of objections were submitted from the residents unlucky enough to sha...

Haven't heard about any change in policy of using iPads. I would be in favour of them, and there was an option this year to buy books too, which we did.
Needless to say the books have not been touched.

Re: Experiences with Community College

Our eldest started in Donabate Community College this year. I am delighted to say that we are very happy with the school. Excellent teachers, very approachable deputy and principal. Assignments marked to push and challenge. Has joined the school band, participated in a Harry Potter quiz hosted by DC...
