Same here. I thought it was spam, but seems to be someone local. Perhaps they could elaborate?

Re: Annual lockdown of Donabate & portrane
Agree, it's frustrating being directed down to Tuvey to queue for a carpark when you only want to get home.

Hot off the press 5/5 elected:
Robert O'Donoghue (L)
Corina Johnson (L)
Eoghan Dockrell (FG)
Paul Mulville (SD)
Cathal Bolan (I)
That's three councilors who reside on the penninsula.

Corina Johnston is sure to take a seat. Paul Mulville will be marginal. Not much hope for Adrian Henchy unless tranfers really go his way which I'd doubt.

Re: Local elections upcoming
I've no connection with Adrian Henchy, but always found him good to deal with. In terms of the abstention, I can see how that may be necessary with the larger parties. It makes no sense to be campaigning for more housing at national level and then delaying or objecting to development at local level ...

I was wondering the same. Presume work hasn't even started yet.
I wonder if it is going to JR which puts it very much on the long finger.

Re: Carrs Mill Park Locked
The walkway was open today. I'm not sure if that is official or if it was left open unintentionally. I noticed a couple of tractors heading up that direction from the Beaverstown Road side. Repairs seem to have been made to the fencing with the missing piece of fence when you enter the walkway from ...

Re: Auto Locksmith required
I used these guys in Mulhuddart a couple of months back. We needed a spare key cut for my wife's Skoda Superb. They did a non-remote key for €80. That included coding to the car immobiliser. I dropped over to them, but they do have a van that provides a mobile service. https://autolockandhouse.com/

What are you looking to get done - did you lock yourself out of the car or looking to get a key cut?

Re: Carrs Mill Park Locked
I tolk a walk up to the windmill from the Beaverstown side today and was greeted by this new addition. I'd doubt it's part of the remidial works FCC have requested. An example of what happens to an ameniety when it's left derelict. This would have been unlikley to happen if it was open to the public...

Re: Carrs Mill Park Locked
I had a look at Paul Mulville's poster on the fence to the entrance of the Rahillion walkway last night. Here's a summary: The walkway is under the control of the Rahillion developer and FCC are working with him to complete the handover. There are some remedial works to be done by the developer and ...

Re: Carrs Mill Park Locked
Last we heard was that the Rahillion developer was looking to hand it over to Fingal. There were a few things that Fingal weren't happy with and asked the developer to address. There have been questions on the various Facebook groups from residents regarding a status and this doesn't appeared to hav...

Re: ‘New’ Traffic Lights Near Romayo’s
I agree, both going and coming from the train station yesterday traffic wsa stopped needlessly for a couple of mintues as only one person needed to cross the road. 2 minutes doesn't sound like much, but it means a significant tailback at peak times. Not sure who you would suggest this to. There is a...

Re: Supermarket On Turvey
People are entitled to object and I think many would agree that we need another supermarket. However, many will also agree that Turvey isn't a suitable location. People are entitled to object to planning permission, it's the system that needs looking at when it takes this long to process through ABP.

Re: Carrs Mill Park Locked
Looks as though it will be locked for some time yet. I thought it had been taken over by FCC already, but looks as though the builder of the Rahillion estate was still managing it. It's anyone's guess as to when this will be resolved.
