Re: Tilbury site, New Rd (FCC owned)
I asked the question of two CC election candidates and been advised that indeed the site will be sold to Cairn Homes. Adrian Henchy advised that they will be developing the commercial space agreed with Cannon Kirk. The sale of Smyths and the derelict shop across the road is to be part of this. So wa...

Donabate and Portrane: A history
Hi All,
Would everyone have a copy of this book that they would be willing to part with?
I can't seem to locate a copy to buy anywhere.
I am willing to pay a good price for this within reason.
Many thanks

Re: Cycling the Hearse Road
The only long term solution to this is for a cycle lane to be built on the Hearse road. This would then connect with the tunnel at the end of that road that allows walkers/cyclists avoid the R132/M1 junction. Re: Beresford Avenue - new phase
Hi Rhona, I don't want to worry you but our house was completed 7 months after the target date. Another family we are friendly with had a similar experience with an earlier phase. Once you sign the final contract there is a stipulation that it will be completed within 12 months of the contract signi...

Re: New road - speeding
I hear what you are saying but lets be clear that it is not a safe speed or a target speed that is being flagged but a speed limit. I see very few people driving significantly below the speed limit and plenty going well over the speed limit on the distributor road, which is what the original poster ...

Re: New road - speeding
The speed limit is just that, a limit. Unless you are driving dangerously slowly you are not obliged to speed up to ensure someone is making proper progress, which is pretty subjective in any case! I think there are serious issues with people way over the speed limit on the distributor road. The jun...
