Re: Development works in Donabate
Don't think anyone would disagree that Donabate needs more competition when it comes to places to shop, but that proposed site for the Aldi is pure idiocy and hopefully will get rejected.
We need a new supermarket, just not there.

Rehearsal space in Donabate
Anyone know of a rehearsal space in the vicinity of Donabate?
I'm looking to try out a guitar amp and some pedals at volume.
Don't need anything fancy - just need a space where I won't annoy nearby residents.

Axe man robbery attempt at the post office
Bit surprised no one has posted about this yet: https://www.dublinlive.ie/news/dublin-news/live-gardai-hunt-attacker-armed-19703039?fbclid=IwAR2hkkzONchACdzXqBZAsjZI59CX1vPu3NxbQ9O4DhnTt0w5TtEpi_YQLV4 A worrying development, but thankfully it sounds like no one was hurt. Hopefully the staff and cust...

Re: Wise Buys
Hate hearing news like this.
Seemed a nice bunch in there and it was always handy having that sort of shop at hand for little household things that SuperValue wouldn't have.
Anyone know if the lockdown was what caused them to close?

Santa and the Reindeers in Newbridge on Christmas Eve
Anyone know if they’re doing it this year? And if so what time? Normally they post something on Facebook but I’ve not seen anything mentioned this year.

Re: Planning permission updated on Turvey Avenue plot
Yeah, you’re right Flatfoot. Intrigued to see what the retail space will end up as. Bit odd to have a single housing unit on the top floor.

New street lights / trees
These new white light street lights that are being installed are coming at a bit of a cost, and I think residents should have been consulted. In the past week we’ve had three healthy, well established trees cut down on the Turvey estate that have taken decades to grow, because there needs to be a 5m...

Sad day for the village - racist graffiti
Hi guys, First time on here but felt compelled to drop a line, as I hope we can get together and nip this in the bud and maybe lead the Gardai to those responsible. On the school run this morning my wife noticed large racist graffiti at the entrance to the Turvey estate which has left me sick to my ...
