Re: Coppala Cabins insulation

We’ve one, first off, it’s the best thing we ever bought, have had it 4-5 years now, it’s the cheaper one that doesn’t come with insulation, I done a self build and when I was building it I added 50mm floor insulation, but after about a month realised I needed roof insulation as during sun it was to...

Re: New Gas System Boiler and BER

Boiler is a baxi 825, so only a 22kw, we’re in a small 3 bed so well enough for size of the house. We’ve a 3 bar walrus pump in the attic, it’s split to the combi and the cold water to the house so comes on all water use, was only installed today and the pump is off until the work is completed, as t...

Re: New Gas System Boiler and BER

Just to follow up on this for anyone thinking of doing same. I’ve been in contact with about 30 plumbing/heating companies about changing the standard boiler to a combi. I’ve had quotes from €3500-€7000, over 3/4 of those contacted are too busy and don’t want the job. I’ve a guy I know coming Monday...

Re: New Gas System Boiler and BER

We’d a combi in our old house and 2 friends have had installed in last 2 years, both of them would never go back. The actual cost of the unit is the same, there is some work involved with fitting and a pump will probably be required but shouldn’t be more than a few hundred more. It’s night and day h...

Re: New Gas System Boiler and BER

Excuse the formatting, I’m typing this from a mobile device. We’ve been trying to get quotes for a boiler change for a while now, what we want to do is change the standard boiler for a combi and remove the HWC and regain some of the hot press space back into our bedroom wardrobes, it should be a fai...

Re: Internet / Broadband

We’ve sky fibre, best deal I could find at the moment, they’ve to run a fibre line into your house.
I work in IT from home and have had zero issues since getting installed, getting over 250mbps down and about 50mbps up over WiFi throughout the day, I get close to 500bps down over cable occasionally.

Re: Internet speed

1st thing I’d do is check if all devices in your house are effected Goto Speedtest.net and do a test on at least 2 devices. Restart router and do the same. If speeds are still low or pings are high(you want the lowest number possible, ideal less than 10ms) try plugging an Ethernet cable between a la...

Re: Working from home - help topic

Anyone working from home who’s WiFi is extremely slow on their laptop but usually good in general might want to try running this fix. I support over 1500 windows 10 users and I’ve needed to run this on at least 500 of them due to WiFi speed being unworkable. This issue usually only happens if you’ve...

100mb Vodafone in beaverstown orchard/Eden Grove.
Good stable connection, never went down.
Previous same line with Sky no issues either.
I’d imagine it’s the same exchange for the village.

Virgin media also available in the estate
