Re: Supermarket On Turvey
<snipped for brevity> I don’t have a car, I have no choice but to do my shopping in a SuperValu, where multiple items in my weekly shop are about 10-20-% dearer than even the SuperValu in Swords Pavillions - An Aldi or. a Lidl will help me significantly financially and I am sure there are others in...

Re: Development works in Donabate
So rumour doing the rounds
According to rumour mill, while digging out for the underground parking etc. an underground stream was found this has put the development on hold while the engineers decide what to do next.
Anyone got a drone that they can fly over and see what they can see of a hole?

Re: Internet / Broadband
Just a note for people using older PCs, laptops etc. Remember you won't get any faster than the wi fi adapter in your PC.
If you have an 802.11ac adapter (WiFi 5) you might get as much as 200Mbs compared to the theoretical 1300 Mbs

Doing some genealogical research and came across this address
Roseall
Donabate
around 1924
Anyone any information? Can't see it on any maps, so suspect it was a house name somewhere.

Re Vodafone and dropouts, what should I be looking for in the logs?
I get the same problems, where the internet will just stop for 3 or 4 minutes, usually when watching Amazon or Netflix, and then having to reload and scroll to the last watched bit.

Re: Young man abandoned on main road to Lusk
When contacting the ES did you say he was drunk or just there was a guy unconcious in the middle of the road, IMO you would probably get a better ES response if the intonation was that he'd been in an RTA and left on the road as an untrained person you would be quite within your rights to have gone ...

Re: Embarrassed to be from Donabate
Were you just sitting there in the car, with park anywhere lights on? If so then that would probably explain people likely thinking you were picking up Mr.Lady from a session at the bookies. If you've broken down, it's always best IMO to lift the bonnet and stare blankly at the engine, you get more ...
