Re: New By Laws protest
Just heard a resprestenative of the cause speak on newstalk. Absolutely pointless having that lad on he made no sense. It appears that the proposal is that dogs are on a lesh between 10 and 6pm in parks, the survey they did resulted in 77% agree that dogs should be on a lead. I don't see the issue w...

I understand what you are saying but if the builder did it during the day people would complain about the traffic delays and the danger to school kids.
They have to get the supplies somehow and after reviewing it they must deem this the safest and least disturbing method.

Re: Houses Ballymastone Disaster
This is all we need. Social housing on our doorstep. Schools all full, two pubs, one shop train full at peak hours, no police presence. This is a disaster if it goes ahead. I don't care if this is not politically correct I don't want this on our doorstep, and I don't buy this whole everyone deserves...

Re: Up in smoke
There is a real issue with anti social behaviour in this village. It’s been going on for a while and doesn’t look like ending anytime soon. Some of the youngsters in the village are absolute scumbags. They have no respect. Hang round SuperValu , village all day wasting time. Turn dark and they start...

Awful thing to happen. But can I ask did the houses in question have house alarms and if so were they on?

Re: New Houses at Beresford
I can see you point. I can also see it from the point of the Beverton people who bought houses in cul de sacs who could well have hundreds of people passing there house each day. Beresford people will say let them walk through Beverton if it frees there road. Beverton don't want them coming through ...

Some valid points made in the observations if you have bothered reading them.Ghjk123 wrote:Agreed on the walkway access Mr Stupid.

Re: New Houses at Beresford
Whilst I don't object to the development, we were all looking for a home at one point I do object to the walkway from the new development through Beverton.
People need to get their objections in before Wednesday 11th, no point talking about it. Get it in.

Re: A few hundred new homes
400 new homes... 1200 (estimate) new people. Say 200 new adults maybe 150 of whom will work (yes stay at home parents work a tough job but these are excluded) Some may work from home. Some may not work 9-5 So a conservative estimate = 100 additional adults working 9-5ish, some travel by train, some...

Re: Little Darlings and arson
At this time of year teenagers are always going to be a problem. Gangs of teenagers walking round the village with tyres, pallets you name it. Parents need to wake up to this, it is not just one gang, its a lot more. Do parents not notice their kids missing for the whole day? Where do they think the...

Re: Scrambler bikes on old Turvey Golf Club
After doing abit of digging. It looks like turvey land is open for membership. 50 for the month and that gives you access to everything. Including access to all of the park.
I'm guessing this ex pga golf pro has got the lads to sign a waiver and is allowing them race on the land. .

Re: Scrambler bikes on old Turvey Golf Club
I'm not sure what can be done. Now that turvey land is privately owned. If they have permission to ride / race from the owner they are no longer trespassing. The only thing that might force them out is the fact that the bird / wildlife sanctuary is being polluted by noise.

Hopefully no one here who is complaining ever has a child who wants to get involved with motocross because they clearly won't be allowed. "Expensive houses" means what exactly? That they are too good to have people practicing a sport that they are passionate about? As I said- grass tracks...

Forgot to stay. The wifi quality is down to the router as opposed to the broadband line. Make sure you have a fast wifi router the ones that the providers give you are rubbish.

Re: Eir v Vodafone v Sky Broadband
We have Vodafone bb in Beverton. Never had any problems at all. If you switch over to a different provider you will notice no speed increase at all as it uses the same line (all eircom) so don't be fooled by the providers who will tell you they are faster than xyz.

Re: Dog owners
I see some signs were left around the estate today hopefully it might work because the other half is sick and tired of scraping muck of the kids shoes. It is disgusting and inconsiderate to others in the area, i am fed up with having to play a game of sh*te dodging on the way to the shops.
