Re: Tilbury site, New Rd (FCC owned)
Have faith. Donabate is one of the few places in FIngal to have three schools right the heard of the community and another two a 5 minute walk. It has a few great sport clubs and one the best beaches and public parks in Dublin. It could do with a few more shops but think you need more people living ...

Re: Tilbury site, New Rd (FCC owned)
Social and affordable housing is necessary but it also needs to work and scale. Middle income people who can't qualify for affordable or social housing are priced out of Donabate and going further North. That's just making a dysfunctional market even more dysfunctional.

Re: Supermarket On Turvey
It's called democracy.
It's not a good place to put a supermarket - somewhere on the the by pass road makes more sense.
That site - maybe a simpler newsagent might work but if you want something to compete with supervalue you are talking a lot more traffic in a narrow road.

It is zoned as agricultural but it can always be rezoned or a hotel could go there (I think) with adjoining green space.
Agree with you on the high quality of Donabate Dexter.

Just keep calling the police. Also take video with your phone. It's not just noise pollution but as you say could injure a younger child. (I would imagine their parents would support you if you contact them).

Re: Donabate - NIMBY Capital of Ireland
We will be very soon short on secondary school places, there's no way it can support 4 feeder schools and it is only a matter of time before kids won't have a secondary school place within walking / cycling distance. Most people are giving out about the facilities not growing with the development si...

I think most dog owners are responsible and pick up the poo.

Although unlikely, it can happen. If you have a long lead, they can poo quickly while you took your eye off them.

On a related subject, is it okay to let your small dog off the lead down on the beach so they can run around and get some exercise?

That's a regular occurrence in SuperValu. Unfortunately will keep happening unless people bring it back or make a complaint.

New Strain
I was just wondering everything now seems to be mixed with a Poodle. Cavapoo, Cockapoo, Labra-doodle, bishonapoo you name it.
Wondering could one of the new estates in Donabate be called: DonaPoo?
Or could we end up with another strain of Covid? Covipoo?

I am guessing schools in town start at 9.00 so thinking would a train around 8.00 not be possible?
