I pay for 100mbps, but rarely get it. Anything between 30 & 70mbps normally. Done on Ookla.

Re: Yet Another Power Cut
It would be interesting to know the exact figures. But I reckon power outages would be 8 times a year. Water maybe 5/6 times a year. With 4 being planned 2/3 due to burst mains. There is never a reason for ESB outages normally the recorded message just says " known fault " I would love to...

Re: WHAT WENT WRONG IN THE VILLAGE LAST NIGHT
One delay too much for me. Having had several great years here, we've decided to move on, we've been actively considering moving for a year now, but expedited lately as Donabate/Portane is bursting at the seams in every way. Traffic, Trains, Schools, Creches, Utilities, Policing. Literally everythin...

Anecdotal evidence is highlighting some issues with current developments from a sales perspective. Kingsland struggling to shift last number of houses, same for Glaslinn, not sure about the others, Small one at top of beaverstown road are struggling on final sales and will not currently progress, wi...

Re: Houses Ballymastone Disaster
After 18 years here I'm on the move. Donabate will be turned on its head the coming years. There is a major lack of transparency in Donabate, The estates you can physically see from the roads are grand and welcomed. There is significant building work going on behalf of FCC, that has no marketing aro...

Re: Severe Lack of School Places
I noticed this as a major problem starting, 6 years ago, when we began in dpetns. Incoming people have little chance of their kids being schooled locally. Primary's may throw up a portakabin or two to start a new additional class, but its not even coming close. Throw in the sibling policy on top als...

We get about 1000/1500 houses before we plunge into another decade long recession, including those being built.
18 years in donabate now, practically the day I moved in I heard about the ring road. No doubt we'll have development but civic development will fall well short.

donabate was chosen as a neutral point for the continuation of a row in Wright Venue the previous night or two. There were a number of arrests.

Re: Fingal election poll
Another more serious point to consider is IF, FG and FF coalesce and they bomb. SF basically have the next government handed to them on a plate. That is the real reason why FG and FF are unlikely to do business. As a child of the late 70s/80s, with a father who was a guard on the border, I cant cont...

I have never seen such a pitiful list of candidates in 25 years of voting eligibilty. Underperformance. And a garage that sells blue cars.
Aldi would be brilliant in D. Is the catchment area big enough for Aldi.
Years ago I heard Tesco were coming to town, that never developed.
