Re: Newbridge farm animals blocked from view
Agree with DonnaB. Reducing the size of this new fence and adding a hedge will not be a satisfactory solution, as the current obstruction will still remain in some form and a second obstruction, a hedge, will be introduced. In the end, this will still result in blocking the view and removing the ame...

Re: Newbridge farm animals blocked from view
I wish it was a joke but... the horrible fence starts at the cow-shed (just beyond your picture) and the guys putting it up said it was going to go the entire way around to prevent people feeding the animals. Presumably they will be back to finish their work tomorrow - great to see the online petiti...

Newbridge farm animals blocked from view
There is a new fence going up in Newbride blocking the view of the animals from the walk along side it. It is apparently going the whole way around the area. I have contacted Fingal county council parks department to voice my opposition, it was a great amenity that the kids loved and to cover it up ...

Mr Stupid, see Planning permission for "material change of use" section of http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/housing/planning_permission/planning_perm_altering_a_house.html "If you want to make a material (that is, substantial) change to the use of land or buildings which will have...

Re: Scrambler bikes on old Turvey Golf Club
focus, the issue here is solely noise, not the merits of the sport, not the passion of the individuals, the noise. Motocross is a noisy pastime, surely you agree? And as such, the locations chosen to host events should be appropriately selected so that it has minimal impact on the surrounding enviro...

Re: Scrambler bikes on old Turvey Golf Club
Looks like the golf club is under new management and has been rebranded as a sports centre with football golf / driving range, see https://www.facebook.com/turveymanor . Seems the person number to call is Kevin Beirth‎ 0872811202, so I would start there However, he has made a Facebook post to the Du...

Re: Scrambler bikes on old Turvey Golf Club
An update on this issue I contacted the EHO in Fingal County Council and had a good conversation about the noise nuisance today. The EHO was very helpful indeed and really seems to have taken a serious interest in solving this issue. There are two things to report as this time 1) The EHO got back in...

Re: Scrambler bikes on old Turvey Golf Club
Hi Tsuzmir, Did you get a contact name in the council or the name of the security firm? The bikes unfortunately returned on Monday evening and again yesterday evening and looking to get in touch with the security firm to see if they can nip it in the bud before it gets out of hand again, if not I wi...

Re: Scrambler bikes on old Turvey Golf Club
The bikes have been back the last few weeks and are particularly noisy today (there seems more bikes than usual), previously Swords Garda station have been helpful always saying they would send a car (although have no confirmation that they ever did), however today I was told that there was nothing ...

Re: Scrambler bikes on old Turvey Golf Club
Claned, good to hear that the police were there as I was beginning to wonder if they show up, the bikes started around 11am on Sunday morning, I called them soon after (I now call them every time they show up as I am sick of the noise at this stage). The bikes did stop around 1pm only to startup aga...

Re: Scrambler bikes on old Turvey Golf Club
We live in Beverton and the noise from the bikes was a big annoyance for us during the summer/autumn. What really annoys me most is their total disregard for residents, there is a point in the estate where you can clearly see the bikers as they ride by (less than 200 meters away), so they are 100% a...
