I found a bike.

This bike was on Turvey Avenue. I've assumed it was stolen then abandoned. If anyone owns it, or know who owns it, let me know.

Re: Development works in Donabate

Its a very short article: "Two residential projects that are due to deliver around 220 homes in Dublin have been shut down in the last week after the main contractor ceased paying creditors over recent months. Shapoorji Pallonji, the Indian construction conglomerate, is understood to have defau...

IKEA Wall Stickers - Free

Giving away some unopened IKEA wall stickers.

These are several years old, so can't guarantee that they will still be sticky.

Re: New Gas System Boiler and BER

I was disappointed with the content of my BER report. I was expecting something more specific to my property, but got a report that is mostly generic based around assumptions on building standards in the build year, and full of useless observations like "This property does not have Solar Panels...

Re: Internet / Broadband

Earlier on this thread, I said I had Vodafone broadband. It wasn't great. It would keep dropping when doing certain specific activities involving big downloads - and (strangely) when launching 'Roblox' in a browser. Vodafone logged on several times and made changes to confidently fix the problem, bu...

Re: Internet / Broadband

I’m with Vodafone and in Turvey . I got a new router last week In the hope that I might get a better signal. It made no difference, maybe even worse, keeps dropping during the day while working. No fibre optic here. Sorry for hijacking... I'm also with Vodafone and in Turvey. Do you see a pattern t...

Apple iPads for the Community College

Apple iPads for Donabate Community College first year students are available in 32GB or 128GB sizes with a ~€100 price difference.

Has anyone bought a smaller capacity iPad previously for use in the school, but regretted it or had problems with schoolwork due to lack of memory?

I do that every morning. The school is very consistent with timing, they'll go in at 8:45 or very soon after, and there is plenty of time to stroll to the station.

If this is a requirement, its not being applied consistantly in Turvey because the trees cut so far are further away from lights than untouched trees. Where did you get information on this '5 metre' rule?

Re: Scumbag Alert

SuperValu. This Moron didn't have the sense to wear a mask. As far as I could see, he was 'Armed' with a metal bar that looked like a bar from a wardrobe. Everyone waited calmly and patiently while he carried out his robbery. He didn't appear to have an escape plan, so ran off towards The Links, pau...

Read Derek's good advice here:

I feel that air-tightness is possibly more important than the insulation, especially if the house faces the green and has no shelter from the wind.

Re: New Houses at Beresford

If you live in the houses which will be built north of/backing onto Beverton Lawns, how do you get to the schools & Community Centre. Do you have to go all the way anticlockwise around Beverton, or will there be a path through Beverton?

Hello. Any chance the club could move those posters from the railings at the train station car-park exit? They block the view of oncoming traffic.

Thanks!
