Re: School bus
A lot of kids seem to get the train into town - and quite a few seem to be bleary eyed shivering at the bus stop waiting for the 7.20 bus , I always feel so sorry for them on dark winter mornings.. I think being realistic one parent needs to be driving into town every morning for it to make sense as...

Re: Lack of mask wearing starting to creep in

Masks are scratchy when you wear them all day and steam up your glasses but they seem to do the job of keeping us safe and I totally agree wit...

Re: Newbridge farm animals blocked from view
Newbridge is a fantastic amenity and like most local families we're up there a lot between parkrun, playground, walks, bike rides etc. but 15 euros to walk around the farm is pretty steep or 18.50 if you've 3 kids and that's before you buy an ice cream or go for coffee.. makes for an expensive after...

theres a list of bands playing in the walled garden on the website and the free bus up there every half hour looks good too - but I'd say best idea is to stock the fridge tonight and stay local for the weekend , unless you want to sit in a traffic jam on the hearse road getting into the village

Re: A question for Cyclists & Joggers.........
On the new road the footpath is really bad in places so many people run on road if its quiet as the surface is better....
p.s. I'm sure most local joggers would be delighted to be described as skinny and bright !!

Secondary school options
I've a boy and girl for secondary school in a couple of years time and I'm at the sussing out secondary schools options stage. My preference would be to send them to the local school for many reasons, but I'm aware there was a bit of controversy about the Community College - has it settled down now ?
