Re: replacing gasfire with stove?

Can Do. Larger Stove needed that wont fit in a conventional fireplace. 16Kw or above needed. About 6K€ to complete. Not sure how worthwhile it is, Controlled gas supply to the rads is probably best value of all.

i need a diesel for the mileage i will do. my 2011 passat (diesel) company car has had fuel pump, water pump, clutch flywheel replaced. Re: replacing gasfire with stove?

the fire was taken out, everything else remained and was reused. i got a new cast iron surround for it. it was done by a nice personable bloke from tallaght i think, i wouldnt use him again though, a one man operation, so it took him about a month to fit me in. Direct into the existing flue should b...

Xmas Day Swim

I swim each Xmas day for Laura Lynn foundation. I was wondering is there an Xmas swim in the area? I generally go to Skerries, closer to home would be great.

Re: Smyth's Pub being taken over

weatherspoons would be no improvement. Formulaic standardised decor across 900 odd pubs in theUK. Food arrives into weatherspoons as balls of ice and are defrosted. i dont think they'll go off script much for Ireland. I dont know a lot of people who frequent either pub regularly now. I used to go th...

M1 & M50

Nice to have the M1 complete, but i notice for the last few weeks that the traffic is pushed further down the road to airport turnoff and beyond, while the r/works were ongoing the traffic cleared once you went over the bridge. Anyone else notice this? On another note, can anyone shed a light on the...

Re: Senate stay or go?

I dont think the Dail is robust or transparent enough to be seen as a single all knowing entity, That said the Senate is hopelessly under equipped (from a senatorial knowledge/interest) to act as support to the Dail. I see no value to it, and will vote no, Even if there was no cost saving (whatever ...
