I am horrified to hear of the mob mentality outside the secondary school. Imagine there was a time on this forum not too long ago when people actually complained that the Secondary School was' too strict'. Maybe I was dreaming and it never happened.

Is it true that 52 out of a total of 60 girls in St Pat's Primary School 6th class are going outside the Parish to Secondary School? If this is true it does not look good for the future of the Local Secondary School.

"DCC doing its best" 50% going on to College over the last two years is a disaster, and all the excuses in the world cannot explain the fact that a new school with excellent facilities in a middle class area come last in North Dublin.

I think everyone in Donabate has aright to comment on the Schools performance, good or bad. The 2014 group did so well in the Junior, I remember the results in the school, according to the Indo 37% went to College, according to the School 50% of the students got less than 300 points in their Leaving...

It is only naturally when we are all from Donabate and have children in the school that we cant believe the figure of 37%.However, as others have pointed out even if they are out by 5% or 10% they are still hard to accept. It is hard to understand how Malahide is three times higher than Donabate.

I agree with you and Donabate 2014 came second last going on to College. If you want us to believe that the rest of them are walking up and down to Super Valu with 600 points in their back pocket. Then I follow you.

All schools would have children going to Private Colleges, England, and not going to any College. When we remove all these factors the Donabate L.C. 2014 came second last, although they had excellent Junior results when I read them in the school after the Junior. What happened ?

It is hard to understand that this group got such a good Junior, and ranked second last for the Leaving Cert. What happened in three years.

Ranking of second last and 37% is correct, we came second last as a School in Co. Dublin. Our School is very good at sports,What happened with the first Year group to get 37%.This year group did so well in the Junior. I remember looking at their results when they were on the Noticeboard in the School.

My Neighbour told me that the money we parents collected for the bus for Donabate Secondary School was all spend on a party by management in March. I find this impossible to believe, can anyone establish the true facts here.
