Re: New road Settlers
Another payoff deal struck with Fingal. Why do you think they come to Donabate so often. Makes me wonder why i do tax returns when it ends up being squandered by Fingal and other local authorities to pay off these shower of parasites. <Admin Edit>. Please see my post below.

No i don't. That's the point I'm making. He said it was "a bad judgement call" to attend. How many times have we heard that statement now from FF and FG?? So maybe it's a bad judgement call about the masks and listening to the science you refer to.

People are being taken for fools. Darragh Calleary wasn't wearing one at the Oireachtas golf function or the other 80 that were in attendance. Wise up.

Re: Corona Virus
I had to collect a prescription from GP in Swords today for a person who is self isolating. While on my way back i was stopped by a Garda. A good humoured sort of lad. Asked what i was doing etc and had a bit of a natter about the situation. Went a bit further up to JCs to another checkpoint and thi...

Re: Hearse Road - open/closed/open/closed
There's only a small section being closed to carry out work at Semple wood entrance. If the whole road was closing how would you get from DDR to Turvey Ave to get out of Donabate??

Re: 144 New apartments on Turvey
This is a very positive development for Donabate. Great to see local planners, Downey Planning, coming up with the right scheme for the right location. The reduced parking to encourage the future residents of the apartments to use public transport is also very welcome and shows good forward plannin...

Re: WHAT WENT WRONG IN THE VILLAGE LAST NIGHT
The watermain is at maximum pressure to cope with the demand to Donabate. This WILL burst again. Irish water are a company in crisis and the personnel are in the main very inexperienced. The main emphasis in Irish Water is cost cutting. Cheap inexperienced contractors (commonly known as chancers) ar...

Re: New partially opened Donabate road to Portrane
Well the reason it goes on is because the PC brigade label anyone who says a word against travellers. They know this and as soon as anything negative is said that Martin Collins is on spouting the usual drivel. He won't have been out to inspect the mess out in Donabate anyway. Why is that i wonder??...

Re: Travellers mess
Something is very wrong in this country when travellers can set up camp and then demand money to move on. That is called extortion and means that FCC have been involved in negotiations with criminals and paying them our bloody taxes. I heard on the radio this morning about a woman who was fined €150...

I hope everyone got to meet the lovely guest to our train station tonight with a warm invitation to the Climate Hoax in Balbriggan  There were a number of good souls who called her out on the spot. To which she shouted some vague libel threats after By posting this you've actually given her p...

Some serious moaners on this forum I swear to God it almost put me off buying here. Biggest concern was the trains, but never a bother. Rarely get a seat on the way to city, always get one on way home... Donabate still great. Nothing but negativity. So many have written off Semple Woods, but I've h...

Hi all, just trying to figure out if we are using the heating the most efficient way. Can anyone in the 4 beds give a rough estimate of how much they are paying for electricity for the past couple of months? Thanks in advance! I assume you are using an Air to Water heat pump which are expensive to ...

Re: What on earth is going on with the traffic on the Peninsula?
The reason for the flooding at the DDR junction is simple. There is a drainage kerb used along the new road. Obviously then any time it rains all the water flows into the kerb and runs along the kerb finally ending up where you see the flood. No effort has been made to pipe this water away from that...

Re: Illegal right turning at Semple Woods
Do you not think what is going on there is idiotic? First thing that should have happened is a proper lane for turning right. Before anyone moved in. Would you not agree with that? The bad decisions were made long before now. I've stated to the idiots in both Fingal and Glenveagh long before anythin...

Illegal right turning at Semple Woods
Who has allowed this to happen? Has nobody explained to Fingal and Glenveagh that a chevron is on the road to prevent traffic from entering? And where are the cars stopping to turn right??? In the feckin Chevron!! I think if there is a crash there, i would say the car making the illegal right turn w...
