philt wrote: 20 Jun 2022, 12:56 Hi Iran,

Seems like the PMs are stuck in the "outbox" and are for some reason not in the sent PMs, so not sure if you have gotten them (assume not).

Best
Phil
They stay in outbox until they are read, then go to sent box.

Interesting post Ken, thanks.

I remember seeing the ruins 30 odd years ago, and traipsing across the fields to to investigate

It's many years since I've been back to them, must have a look now it's been made more accessible.

I've replaced similar, but not exactly the same as yours, and bought them from Mila in Kilbarrack.

If they don't have them, they could probably advise who does.

Not near Somerton, but our experience has been similar to Mr Onion Ring  We have the 1GB fibre option from Eir, all connecting wirelessly we get anything from 250 to 700 depending on closeness to modem or device, the older laptops don't get as good a speed as the newer devices, but probably due...

I think the works to realign the road at that bend were meant to start earlier this year, but the Covid outbreak put an end to that.

That was why that section of the Hearse Road wasn't resurfaced.

Eir, Vodafone and Sky (maybe others too) are offering it in enabled areas. Check their websites to see if your area is covered.

...Is the train noise a concern? I haven't experienced it from Semple Woods, but from friends houses very close to the railway further along the line in the village and it's really not a problem where they are. I would imagine the newer build houses in Semple Woods probably have better insulation a...

I haven't been up close to it in a few years, but there were attempts around then to do what you are proposing. It is/was a beautiful site, that up to relatively recently wouldn't have taken much to get it back under control. I fear the recent years of development/vandalism/neglect have taken their ...
